This portal site provides information about buying property in New Zealand to new immigrants as well as Kiwis returning to NZ.

The Brief

The web design for this site needed to provide a way of choosing an area or property by easily recognisable imagery. The site was a green fields development as there was no existing site or branding to work with.

The Solution

A clean quirky design and visual navigation provides the user with several ways to choose a property type. We used javascript to present “coverflow” images of property types as well as maps and lists. While these could have been done using Flash, this solution keeps all of the content accessible to the search engines.

We also have podcasts, weather updates for most NZ cities as well as the ability to sign up to RSS and newsletter feeds. All of these functions have been included into the Umbraco CMS used to publish the site.

The data for all properties comes directly from the Bayleys web servers that also feed the Bayleys.co.nz site.

An extensive Google Adwords component as well as a banner advertising campaigns are targeted to off-shore viewers.
