A website which provides a variety of quality merchandise to Inspire & Nurture Mind, Body & Soul, this site addresses the growing interest in alternative holistic wellbeing products.

The brief was to present the products and information on the site in a sympathetic way, while avoiding hackneyed and clichéd representations of “new-age” products.

The design carries a suggestion of the ancient world with serif fonts and subtle hints such as parchment paper and scrolls, however the design in its entirety is undoubtedly modern. The effect of this combination is a comfortable, affirming look and feel which is very much in keeping with the products themselves.

The retail shop is an important part of the website, so takes a prominent position in the navigation. Personal development services are also promoted.

The site was built in the open source CMS Umbraco and the open source e-commerce solution Dash Commerce. Dash Commerce was used because of the need for complete integration between the two solutions. We found that with level of customisation possible in both, we could offer a truly rich experience with seamless interaction between the products in the shop and the information in the rest of the website, making the consumer more likely to click the Buy button after a browsing the site.

A large inventory of products is updated by the site owner, who worked with our designers and a photographer to set up a system for photographing the products in a consistent and professional manner.
